If your doctor has diagnosed your headaches as migraine, he or she will work with you to decide which treatment plan is best for you. Through education and communication, you and your doctor will work together as a team to manage your migraines.
Education
Your doctor may want you to keep a migraine diary, a calendar that will help you and your doctor track your migraines and how well TREXIMET is working. It also can help you identify triggers that may be contributing to your migraines. Be sure to record information for each attack as accurately as you can, then discuss your findings with your doctor at your next appointment.

Communication
Always keep the lines of communication open with your doctor. If migraines are still disrupting your life, let your doctor know. Your doctor also can offer you tips on taking your medication properly, such as treating your migraine at the first sign of pain, as headache experts recommend. You should take your medication as directed by your doctor.
